Welcome!

You may recognize me from my work as the Health Commissioner of Onondaga County. For almost eight years, including throughout COVID-19, I had the privilege of serving residents of DeWitt and other towns and cities in the county.

When I left the Health Department in 2022, I knew that I still wanted to serve our community. After a great deal of self-reflection and with the encouragement of friends and family, I decided to pursue a new path—running for the DeWitt Town Board!

If elected to the Town Board, I’m eager to focus on a few key areas that can make DeWitt an even better place for our community to thrive.

Bring Economic Opportunities

Old infrastructure, like ShoppingTown Mall, remains unused. I will advocate and work collaboratively with all stakeholders to revitalize this highly desirable, centrally located site. I will also work with the Planning and Zoning board to help attract new businesses. Through this growth, I will make sure to preserve our beautiful neighborhoods and outdoor spaces for a healthy and prosperous community.

Improve Our Health

Having worked in healthcare for over 30 years, I strongly believe our physical health remains a key component to our community’s well-being. I will protect our children by working with the Water Department to identify and replace lead pipes in old homes. I will also work to start opioid and substance use prevention programs, building on the work I spearheaded as the Health Commissioner.

Ensure Fiscal Responsibility

It’s important that you – a DeWitt resident – understand how the Town Board works to make laws and use the taxes you pay, to make our community better. As our Town Board works to grow DeWitt, I will make sure we are doing so efficiently and that you understand what decisions are being made and how.
